Job summary

Snowflake is hiring talented Software Engineers for Cloud Infrastructure Engineering to solve complex infrastructure challenges. You will build scalable, resilient infrastructure, influence platform direction, and mentor teammates while delivering high-quality code and automation in a cloud environment.

The role focuses on deep understanding of the Snowflake infrastructure, leadership on large projects, and evangelizing the Platform to meet business goals, with a strong emphasis on reliability

Qualifications

• BS/CS, MS/CS, or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in a platform or cloud team building and supporting mission-critical services in a SaaS environment.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and best practices.
• At least 1+ year in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Fluent in Golang, Java, Python, or C.
• Expertise in container platforms, automation, networking, OS, site reliability, config management, and IaC like Pulumi/Terraform.
• Attention to detail and ability to build reliable and scalable software systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build a deep understanding of Snowflake’s infrastructure and services.
• Contribute to the team charter to build and operate highly scalable, resilient infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership on large and complex projects delivering infrastructure, platforms, tools, and automation in the cloud.
• Evangelize and drive adoption of the Platform to meet business goals.
• Mentor and support junior team members with high-quality code and documentation.
