About WPP Media

At WPP Media, we believe data, creativity and technology work best when they work together. Our mission is to shape the next era of media – one that's smarter, more connected, and powered by insight. We're part of a global network that values openness, collaboration and bold ideas. Here, you'll have the chance to make an impact and grow your career and skill set with some of the best minds in the industry.

The Role

We're looking for a Cloud Engineer to help run our Open Intelligence data initiative as an enterprise grade production system. You'll play a key role in enabling WPP Media to leverage its data assets for growing its business globally. This role requires diligence, independence, technical savviness, and good communication skills. It requires an understanding of brand, AdTech, and marketing data, as well as the enterprise. You will contribute to keep our global media ecosystem diverse and running, ensuring that data is correct and available across the business.

This is a hands‑on technical role for an enterprising individual, who can balance working on long‑term improvement initiatives with immediate attention to incidents. It is also a role that requires good communication skills, as you will be learning from, coordinating with and training engineers across the globe. You will also collaborate closely with our product division to ensure transparency on status to the business side.

The role is a remote role centred in Poland.

What You'll Do
  • Deploy, oversee, manage, debug, maintain and optimize custom services, data stores, and caches. Currently, services are primarily built in Python, AlloyDB and VertexAI, and run under demands of high throughput.
  • Design, build and maintain systems for cross‑region monitoring and reporting, and for ensuring transparency on status for our Product organization.
  • Establish automated systems for result consistency checks.
  • Contribute to identifying and addressing technical debt and inefficiencies within our data platform.
  • Support our regional teams and services teams in following best practices for running pipelines in bunkered environments.
What You'll Bring
  • Strong diligence and focus. Responsibility and responsiveness.
  • You understand collaboration but thrive with clear division of responsibility.
  • 2‑4 years of experience in cloud engineering.
  • Interest in optimizing cloud installations for maximum throughput, cost and reliability.
  • Basic understanding of strongly typed computer languages and compilers.
  • Experience working with CI/CD, version control, branching, and testing best practices.
  • Experience with GCP and deployment abstractions like Docker or Terraform.
  • A proactive approach to solving problems and improving systems.
What We Offer
  • A supportive, inclusive culture built on trust, ambition and collaboration.
  • Access to world‑class learning and development opportunities across the WPP network.
  • Competitive salary, benefits and a focus on wellbeing.
  • The chance to make a real impact shaping how data powers the next generation of media.

We believe the best work happens when we're together, fostering creativity, collaboration, and connection. That's why we've adopted a hybrid approach, with teams in the office an average of four days a week. If you require accommodations or flexibility, please discuss this with the hiring team during the interview process.

WPP (VML) is an equal opportunity employer and considers applicants for all positions without discrimination or regard to characteristics. We are committed to fostering a culture of respect in which everyone feels they belong and has the same opportunities to progress in their careers.
