Business Analyst

Responsibilities:

  • Models and documents value chain/streams, business processes, roles, capabilities and data
  • Elicits and analyses business needs, requirements and user stories
  • Supports business experts and product owners during definition of requirements and software development
  • Maintains and tracks requirements/user stories in systems lifecycle
  • Transfers business, users and technical needs into business requirements specification
  • Supports identification of options for potential solutions
  • Supports preparation of business cases and feasibility studies
  • Contributes to systems design, testing, quality assurance, change management
  • Responsible for designing, validating, and testing business processes for achieving business process excellence
  • Responsible for taking a holistic approach in the planning and managing of a programmes for continuous improvements of business processes
  • Responsible for coaching Frontex staff on upcoming changes, ensuring that a plan is in place to teach new skills and/or process changes
  • Collaborates with owners of end-to-end processes to continually seek out process improvements
  • Identifies opportunities for business process improvement leading to improved customer service

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in ICT
  • At least 2 certifications among:Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent; Certified UML Professional certificate at foundation level or BPM 2 fundamental level or equivalent or equivalent certifications recognized internationally (subject to acceptance as a valid credential by the Contracting Authority)
  • Minimum 8 years of IT relevant professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of project experience relevant to the profile
  • Has gone at least 1 time through the complete lifecycle of the software solution
  • Knowledge in business processes modelling using BPMN notation
  • Knowledge in requirements/user stories elicitation and analysis
  • Knows analysis/modelling notations like UML (capability diagram, activity diagram, state diagram, logical data model etc.)
