Job description
Business Analyst (FP&A)

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our EMEA FP&A team. This is a European role dedicated to the Polyurethanes division, where you will play a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting forecasting and budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures. You will report to the FP&A Manager and collaborate across multiple regions, including Europe, APAC, and the US, to provide timely insights that help manage business performance.

Role Overview:

As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering accurate and timely month‑end financial actuals, management reports, analysis and presentations.
  • Preparing robust volume‑to‑EBITDA forecasts at the start and end of each month, including supporting analysis for key stakeholders.
  • Coordinating the delivery of annual budgets and related analysis for management reviews.
  • Performing initial checks on financial data in IBM reporting tools and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Managing reporting requirements, including month‑end closing, monthly forecasting, hedging, cash flow, and management slides.
  • Supporting the FP&A Manager in month‑end closing by consolidating qualitative and timely information from local finance teams and ensuring accuracy of analysis.
  • Automating performance management reporting to reduce manual spreadsheet work and improve efficiency.
  • Implementing and maintaining full procedures manuals to ensure process continuity during absences.
  • Acting as the point of contact for Business Performance reporting folders and Record Retention, ensuring SOX compliance.
  • Collaborating closely with Performance team members and finance teams across Europe, with occasional interaction with APAC and US regions.
Experience and Competencies:

We are looking for experienced candidates with a strong finance background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex reporting processes in a dynamic, international environment.

What we are looking for:
  • A degree in Finance or a related discipline
  • Between 3–5 years of finance experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes, including month‑end closing and forecasting.
  • Advanced SAP and Excel skills and hands‑on experience with reporting tools (IBM preferred).
  • Excellent analytical skills combined with effective communication methods.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as in multicultural teams.
  • Initiative and confidence to manage complex reporting processes.
