About Our Client

The BU HR Director will act the senior HR leader for several different Business Units within a large international industrial group undergoing significant organisational and cultural transformation.

The role combines end-to-end People & Culture leadership across operations in Poland and another key EU market, supporting multiple production sites and a sizeable workforce.

This position requires a strategic, hands‑on leader to drive talent, capability, and cultural development in a dynamic, decentralized environment. Acting as a strategic business partner to BU leadership, the role ensures HR initiatives enable business growth, operational excellence, and transformation goals.

BU HR Director translates BU strategies into HR priorities and strengthening workforce capability and leadership effectiveness across Poland and and another key EU market.

Job Description
  • Act as the primary HR/People & Culture partner for several different Business Units operating across Poland and another key EU market, advising BU Boards, Plant Directors and leadership teams
  • Actively co-create BU business strategies with leadership teams and translate them into integrated People & Culture roadmaps, ensuring alignment with operational and financial objectives
  • Ensure high-quality, efficient and scalable HR processes that support the organisation's long-term growth and transformation
  • Lead BU-level processes including Talent Review, Succession Planning, Leadership Development, Performance Management and building organizational culture
  • Drive engagement initiatives, oversee employee surveys and lead post-survey action planning to strengthen employee experience
  • Manage development programs for managers, leaders and high-potential talent across both countries
  • Strengthen performance management, embed modern goal-setting practices and elevate managerial accountability
  • Lead change and transformation initiatives, including post-M&A integration and the introduction of new tools, standards and operating models
  • Lead workforce planning as a core business process, ensuring talent pipelines, skills development and succession plans directly support BU growth
  • Partner with social representatives where needed, maintaining constructive and balanced relations with employee groups
  • Manage, coach and develop HRBPs Teams, ensuring consistent HR standards across all sites
The Successful Applicant
  • Years of senior/Director experience in HR Business Partnering, Talent Management, Leadership Development
  • Proven ability to operate across multiple countries and multi-site environments, ideally with exposure to industrial and/or production settings
  • Capability in shaping talent pipelines, succession frameworks and leadership development agendas
  • Demonstrated experience leading organisational change, supporting transformation and driving modern performance practices
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively and act as a trusted advisor to business leaders
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with readiness to work closely with leadership teams internationally
  • Analytical mindset and data-driven approach to people decisions
  • Fluent English at a senior working level (C1); additional languages are a plus
  • High resilience, adaptability and comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Readiness to travel regularly between multiple operational sites located in different European countries
