Job summary

Gdańsk University of Technology in Gdańsk invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) in the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics, Department of Biomedical Engineering. The position is fixed-term, full-time, starting 1 November 2026, and focuses on teaching and developing engineering education.

You will educate in Polish and English, organize the teaching process, contribute to conferences, apply for external funding, and help advance teaching infrastructure

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in biomedical engineering, computer science, or data engineering.
• Knowledge of computer science, applied image or signal processing methods, and databases.
• Skill in machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Educating in Polish and English and guiding students.
• Participating in the organization of the teaching process.
• Actively participating in teaching conferences.
• Improving teaching methods and developing knowledge and skills.
• Applying for external funding related to teaching activities.
• Developing and maintaining teaching infrastructure.
• Participating in the implementation of grants.
• Reviewing work within the scope of the employee’s expertise and responsibilities.
• Performing the above tasks in accordance with ethical principles and teamwork.
