Job summary

Vertex Agility is seeking a Data & Reporting Developer in Kraków to join its Data Engineering team. You will work across the data lifecycle, building data technology solutions with Python and SQL (T-SQL) in Google BigQuery or MS SQL Server, and you will deliver dashboards to business stakeholders.

The role focuses on sourcing, ingesting, integrating and refining data from diverse sources, designing data models, and maintaining automated pipelines for analytics and real-time use.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience in data engineering, data development or BI development.
• Strong SQL (T-SQL) and Python for data processing and automation.
• Experience with Google Cloud (BigQuery) and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
• ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouses.
• Knowledge of data modelling (conceptual, logical and physical models).
• Experience building reports and dashboards in Looker Studio or Qlik Sense.

Responsibilities

Job Opportunity: Data & Reporting Developer (BigQuery, Python, T-SQL)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Data & Reporting Developer to join a Data Engineering team within a large data and analytics organisation. The team develops data technology solutions that help the business unlock value from well-managed data, working closely with Data Architects and Analytics Engineers.

You will work across the data lifecycle, from data sourcing and ingestion, through data warehousing and modelling, to reporting and dashboards, mainly with Python and SQL (T-SQL) in Google BigQuery or Microsoft SQL Server. It is a great fit for an experienced, independent developer who is open to adopting new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop data technology solutions in Google Cloud (BigQuery) and/or Microsoft SQL Server, using Python and T-SQL
• Source, ingest, integrate and refine data from different databases, systems and APIs, including matching and linking datasets
• Build and maintain data warehouses, automated data pipelines and data assets for analytics and real-time use
• Design and document conceptual, logical and physical data models
• Optimise query performance and set up data quality checks, monitoring and alerting
• Deliver reporting solutions and dashboards in Looker Studio
• Work with stakeholders, Data Architects and Analytics Engineers to understand requirements and evaluate new technologies
• Resolve data issues, provide ad-hoc analysis, document processes and drive assigned projects

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience in data engineering, data development or BI development
• Strong SQL (T-SQL) and Python skills for data processing and automation
• Experience with Google Cloud (BigQuery) and/or Microsoft SQL Server
• Practical experience building ETL / ELT pipelines and data warehouses
• Good knowledge of data modelling (conceptual, logical and physical models)
• Experience building reports and dashboards in Looker Studio or Qlik Sense
• Ability to work with business stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions
• Experience with C#, Alteryx, PowerApps, Collibra, big data or cloud migration projects is a plus
