IG Group is seeking a BI Analyst/Looker Developer to design and build Looker dashboards that empower business users with data-driven decisions. You will partner with stakeholders to translate needs into clear visualisations and turn complex data into compelling stories that drive action.

Responsibilities include dashboard customization using HTML/CSS, producing documentation, and training users to self-serve their data. Familiarity with Looker/LookML, SQL, and UX best practices is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of BI development experience.
• Expert Looker/LookML knowledge or equivalent BI tool.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and manipulation.
• Good understanding of data visualization best practices and UX.

Job Title

BI Analyst/Looker Developer at IG Group.

Responsibilities

• Design and build intuitive Looker dashboards that enable data‑driven decisions for business users across IG.
• Partner with business stakeholders across functions to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear, effective visualisation solutions.
• Turn complex data into compelling, accessible data stories that drive action.
• Customise dashboards using HTML and CSS to enhance the user experience.
• Produce documentation and run training that helps business users self‑serve their data needs.
• Partner with analytics engineers to make effective use of the underlying data models.
• Contribute to the development of AI agents, co‑pilots, and automated insights that surface data directly to users.

Requirements

• Three or more years’ experience in BI development, with strong expertise in dashboard creation.
• Expert knowledge of Looker and LookML, or a comparable BI tool.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and manipulation.
• Strong understanding of data visualisation best practice and UX design principles.
• A track record of translating complex data into clear stories and insights for non‑technical audiences.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to gather requirements and manage delivery across multiple stakeholders.

Desirable

• Basic HTML and CSS for dashboard customisation.
• Experience with Tableau or other data visualisation tools.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, particularly Google BigQuery.
• Familiarity with dbt and data modelling concepts.
• Familiarity with AI and how it can be applied to analytics products.
