Job summary

Datamatics Technologies in Stockholm is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize ETL pipelines with Informatica PowerCenter and Teradata. You will ensure data quality, security, and regulatory compliance while supporting analytics and reporting initiatives for banking applications.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, tune data models, and drive data governance across multiple banking systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer / ETL Developer in banking or financial services.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Informatica PowerCenter (ETL).
• Experience with Teradata (SQL, data warehousing, performance optimization).
• Solid understanding of data modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and data warehouse design.
• Knowledge of banking domain data (customer, transactions, risk, compliance, treasury, credit).
• Proficiency in SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning techniques.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in agile / collaborative environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes and data pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Work with Teradata for data warehousing, modeling, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to gather requirements and deliver robust data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with banking and financial regulations.
• Support regulatory reporting, risk, and financial analytics through high-quality data engineering solutions.
• Perform data validation, profiling, and reconciliation across multiple banking systems.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing ETL workflows and database performance.
• Contribute to data governance, metadata management, and data stewardship initiatives within the bank.
