Job summary

Flix is seeking a Java Engineer for a service agreement collaboration (B2B) to join the Network Planning team at FlixTrain, building internal tools to plan timetable and vehicle allocation, reduce manual processes, and boost productivity. This greenfield role offers room to shape new products, work with modern tech stack, and deliver reliable backend services in an agile, distributed environment.

Qualifications

3–5 years of backend development experience.
Java or Kotlin on the JVM stack.
Experience in cloud environments, preferably AWS.

Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain backend services and APIs for FlixTrain workflows.
Develop data models and event-driven integrations between services.
Work with internal users, product and engineers to translate needs into solutions.
Write and maintain automated tests for reliability.
Collaborate across a distributed, agile architecture.
Document technical decisions and approaches.
