Job summary

ElevenLabs is hiring a backend-leaning full-stack engineer to build and scale voice systems at the core of our platform. You will own backend architecture and production systems, collaborating with research engineering and security to bring frontier speech research to millions of users.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering experience building and scaling high-traffic production systems.
• Strong system design and database fundamentals, including data modelling, concurrency, migrations and security.
• Experience operating production services, with strong debugging, monitoring and failure recovery skills.
• Independent ownership, clear communication and the drive to ship quickly, with confidence working across the stack.

Responsibilities

• Modernising voice architecture, including data models, storage and APIs.
• Making voice cloning and fine-tuning pipelines reliable through monitoring, retries and failure recovery.
• Building voice creation, verification and recommendation capabilities.
• Owning workstreams from design to production, including frontend changes where needed.
