Job summary

Cisco Systems Poland sp. z o.o. Kraków is seeking a backend engineer to build and evolve License Manager capabilities using Go and C++. You will write scalable, secure code and deliver features with strong test coverage to ensure reliability and performance.

You will collaborate with product management, support, and engineering partners to improve system behavior, diagnose issues, and grow ownership over broader technical areas over time.

Qualifications

• Strong, recent hands-on Go experience building scalable production services.
• Experience with distributed systems, APIs, secure service-to-service communication, and production support.
• Ability to reason about performance, including latency, throughput, memory use, concurrency, and failure modes.
• Strong testing, debugging, and production-troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, debug, and maintain core License Manager capabilities using Go and C++.
• Deliver well-scoped features, fixes, and enhancements from design through implementation.
• Write clean, secure code with unit and integration test coverage to improve quality.
• Investigate issues to identify root causes and contribute durable fixes.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product management, and support to improve system behavior.
