Job summary

Andersen is seeking a Backend Developer (PHP) to build scalable digital solutions and contribute to international software projects across diverse industries. We work with PHP 8.x, Laravel, Symfony, Magento 2/Adobe Commerce, and WordPress/WooCommerce, designing APIs and integrations for complex portals and ecommerce platforms.

Requirements include 3+ years backend experience and English at Upper-Intermediate or higher; you will select the right tech stack per client needs and own backend

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong PHP 8.x knowledge; solid OOP and SOLID principles.
• Commercial experience with Laravel and/or Symfony; building portals and integrations.
• Hands-on Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce development.
• Experience with WordPress / WooCommerce; plugins and integrations.
• English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage backend development for ecommerce projects and complex corporate portals.
• Design backend architecture and make key technical decisions.
• Choose platform and stack based on client needs and business objectives.
• Develop and maintain PHP-based backend systems with high quality, performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Implement and maintain integrations with external systems (payments, CRM/ERP/1C, marketplaces, delivery providers).
• Design and implement APIs and system-to-system integrations.

Responsibilities:

• Independently managing backend development for e-commerce projects and complex corporate portals.
• Designing backend architecture and making key technical decisions.
• Selecting the most suitable platform and technology stack based on the client’s requirements and business objectives.
• Developing and maintaining PHP-based backend systems, ensuring high quality, performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Implementing and maintaining integrations with external systems, including payment services, CRM/ERP/1C systems, marketplaces, and delivery providers.
• Designing and implementing APIs and system-to-system integrations.

Must-haves:

• Experience in backend development for 3+ years.
• Strong knowledge of PHP 8.x, with a solid understanding of OOP and SOLID principles.
• Commercial development experience with Laravel and/or Symfony, including building custom portals and integration solutions.
• Hands-on experience with custom development on Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce.
• Experience with WordPress / WooCommerce, including enhancing existing solutions, developing plugins, and implementing integrations.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
