Job summary

Google ищет инженера по разработке ПО для распределённой системы хранения, основной фокус на C++. Вы будете проектировать и внедрять ключевые функции, оптимизировать производительность и надёжность хранилища, работать в тесном взаимодействии с командами SRE и разработки.

Требования: образование в области CS, опыт работы с крупномасштабными инфраструктурами и распределёнными системами, знание C++, плюс — магистр/доктор, понимание файловых систем и баз данных.

Qualifications

• Требуется степень бакалавра или эквивалентный опыт работы в разработке ПО.
• Опыт разработки инфраструктуры/распределённых систем и/или сетевых технологий.
• Понимание концепций распределённых систем, консистентности, отказоустойчивости и репликации.

Responsibilities

• Разработка, тестирование и внедрение надёжного ПО для распределённой системы хранения с основным использованием C++.
• Участие в дизайне архитектуры и реализации новых возможностей системы.
• Анализ и повышение эффективности, надёжности и производительности хранилища.
• Поиск и устранение сложных ошибок в масштабной продакшн-среде, взаимодействие с SRE.
• Писать качественный, хорошо тестируемый код и участвовать в code reviews.

Описание: Google develops products and services used by billions of people. Its Placer system manages replication of and access to sets of CNS files, while CNS is an exabyte-scale internal cluster filesystem and a critical building block of Google services.

Задачи

• Design, develop, and test robust, scalable, high-performance software for a distributed storage system, primarily using C++
• Contribute to the technical design and implementation of new features and significant system improvements
• Analyze and improve the storage system’s efficiency, reliability, and performance
• Debug and resolve complex issues in large-scale distributed production environments, often collaborating with SRE teams
• Write high-quality, maintainable, well-tested code and participate actively in code reviews

Требования

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience 2 Years of software development experience, or 1 year with an advanced degree, in an industry setting 2 Years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture English proficiency Будет плюсом: A Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, C++ programming, building and operating large-scale distributed systems, performance analysis, tuning and optimization of complex systems, understanding of distributed systems concepts such as consistency, fault tolerance, replication, and partitioning, familiarity with storage systems, file systems, or database internals
