Job summary

Andersen is seeking an APIM Developer in the EU to modernize banking API platforms, delivering scalable, secure API solutions for financial services and guiding a large-scale digital transformation.

You will design, deploy and govern Azure APIM in enterprise environments, configure policies, subscriptions and gateways, and lead internal training to promote best practices across teams. Candidates should have 4+ years in API engineering and strong English skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in software, platform or integration engineering for 4+ years.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with Azure API Management.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, certificates and API security.
• Experience configuring APIM policies, products, subscriptions, gateways, networking and access controls.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates.
• Experience implementing APIM deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHubActions or an equivalent CI/CD platform.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services, networking, identity, monitoring and Azure Key Vault.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights and API troubleshooting.
• Ability to create standards, operational documentation, runbooks and reusable implementation patterns.
• Previous experience leading technical implementation and training or mentoring an internal team.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Responsibilities

• Define and design APIM-based architectures for large-scale digital banking APIs.
• Implement and operate Azure APIM in enterprise environments with secure access controls.
• Configure policies, products, subscriptions and gateways for API governance.
• Lead technical implementation and train internal teams on APIM best practices.
• Create runbooks, standards and reusable patterns to support operations.
