Job summary

Xebia is seeking an experienced Databricks platform engineer to manage and optimize our cloud data platform across EU regions. You will implement IaC, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and support governance and disaster recovery testing in enterprise environments.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on Databricks administration, Terraform expertise, and strong collaboration with SRE, cloud, and engineering teams. Remote work from EU and regulatory compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Databricks platform administration and engineering experience.
• IaC with Terraform and deployment frameworks (DABs or equivalent).
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments.

You will:

build, configure, and maintain Databricks workspaces and platform services, develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, implement and support deployment processes using Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) or similar frameworks, design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning, environment setup, and release management, implement and maintain Unity Catalog and support enterprise data platform governance, support platform qualification and validation activities, including automated generation of validation evidence, support disaster recovery setup, resiliency improvements, and recovery testing, implement and maintain data ingestion routes and supporting platform capabilities, manage platform-related change control activities in line with documented processes, provide operational support for the platform, including sandbox provisioning, collaborate with platform, cloud, SRE, architecture, and engineering teams, support knowledge transfer, platform handover, and operational transition activities.

Your profile:

hands-on experience with Databricks platform administration and engineering, strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, experience with Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) or similar deployment frameworks, experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, understanding of cloud platform operations and DevOps practices, experience with platform automation, environment provisioning, and release management, familiarity with disaster recovery, resiliency, and recovery testing, experience working in enterprise-scale cloud environments, ability to collaborate effectively with platform, cloud, SRE, and engineering teams, strong problem-solving and communication skills, ability to work in regulated environments with documented processes and change control, Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

Nice to have: experience working in GxP-regulated environments, experience supporting qualification and validation activities, including IQ/OQ, knowledge of enterprise data platform governance practices, experience implementing and maintaining Unity Catalog, experience supporting large-scale data modernization programs, exposure to AWS-based environments, experience with platform handover and operational transition activities.
