Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a System Test Engineer / Developer to join its Automotive department on a high-impact project. You will contribute to next-generation Automotive Solutions for major Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs across Europe and the US, focusing on test automation and hardware-in-the-loop setups.

This hybrid role blends test automation with hands-on HIL/Box Car operations across the full software development lifecycle, requiring scripting in Python, CAPL, or C#, and familiarity with CAN,

Qualifications

• Proven experience in system testing within the Embedded or Automotive domains.
• Hands-on scripting and log analysis using Python, CAPL, or C#.
• Experience with HIL rigs or Box Car setups.
• Experience designing test automation frameworks and scripts.
• Proactive problem-solver comfortable with ambiguous requirements.
• Knowledge of CAN, Ethernet, and LIN automotive protocols.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Transform manual test cases into scalable automated solutions.
• Identify and implement continuous automation work packages.
• Parse and analyze system logs generated by automated test environments using Python, CAPL, and/or C#.
• Execute functional, exploratory, and regression tests.
• Analyze test results and perform root-cause analysis.
• Document summary reports and manage detailed bug tickets.
• Take full ownership of complex test setups including Box Cars and HIL systems.
• Prepare test targets by flashing and configuring exact hardware and software baselines.
• Troubleshoot hardware/rig environment issues and implement countermeasures.
• Perform hardware upgrades and maintenance in collaboration with engineering teams.
