Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Java Automation Tester to join a project focused on testing asynchronous system integrations based on Apache Kafka. You will design and execute manual and automated tests, and create and maintain automated test scenarios in Java and Cucumber using a BDD approach.

Responsibilities include building and managing test pipelines in Jenkins, reporting results with Allure, and managing test cases in Xray, Swagger/OpenAPI validation, and Gradle-based projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of integration testing experience with Apache Kafka (producing/consuming events).
• Strong Java knowledge and ability to write automated tests.
• Experience in manual and automated testing of asynchronous integrations.
• Experience creating test scenarios in Cucumber using a BDD approach.
• Experience managing test cases, plans and executions in Xray or Jira.
• Ability to configure and run CI pipelines in Jenkins.
• Familiarity with testing REST APIs (Postman).
• Very good knowledge of Polish.

We are looking for an experienced Java Automation Tester to work on a project related to testing asynchronous system integrations based on event streaming using Apache Kafka. You will be responsible for designing and executing manual and automated tests, as well as creating and maintaining automated test scenarios.

Your tasks

• Designing and executing manual and automated tests for event-driven integration
• Creating and maintaining automated test scenarios in Java and Cucumber using BDD approach
• Building and managing test pipelines in Jenkins as part of CI/CD
• Reporting test results using Allure and managing test cases in Xray
• Verifying API contracts using Swagger/OpenAPI
• Building test projects using Gradle

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in integration testing using Apache Kafka, including producing and consuming events and verifying topics and event order
• Strong knowledge of Java and ability to write automated tests
• Practical experience in manual (exploratory) and automated testing of asynchronous integrations
• Previous work in creating test scenarios in Cucumber using BDD approach
• Experience in managing test cases, plans, and executions in Xray or Jira
• Ability to configure and run CI pipelines in Jenkins
• Familiarity with tools for testing REST APIs, such as Postman and Swagger
• Very good knowledge of Polish

Nice to have

• Experience in the banking and financial industry
• Knowledge of CI/CD and tools such as Gradle
• Advanced level of English
