Job summary

Atos is seeking an experienced Automation Tester to join our team in a hybrid working model. The role centers on building scalable automation in Java, with hands-on API tests using REST Assured and Postman, and CI/CD integration via GitLab.

You will help improve software quality through robust testing in a DevOps environment. The ideal candidate has 4–8 years of automation testing experience, strong Java skills, and German language proficiency (B2).

Qualifications

• Strong programming experience in Java.
• Hands-on API testing with REST Assured and Postman.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of Git workflows.
• Solid knowledge of STLC and defect lifecycle.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• German Language B2.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests using Java.
• Design scalable automation frameworks and reusable components.
• Translate manual tests into automated scenarios.
• Execute API testing and validation of REST APIs.
• Create UI automation with Playwright (if applicable).
• Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform regression, smoke, functional and integration testing.
• Track defects with Jira and generate automation reports.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps and QA teams.
