Job summary

Euroclear in Krakow is seeking an Associate Accountant to kick-start a career at the intersection of accounting, finance and technology. You will gain exposure to AR, cash management, AP, GL and consolidation within a structured learning journey.

You’ll collaborate across countries, develop skills in AI-enabled tools and Power Platform, and contribute to modernizing finance processes while building a solid foundation in financial governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• First experience or internship in accounting, finance, shared services or digital/process improvement is a plus.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and international finance environment.
• Strong interest in future of finance including technology, automation, AI or Power Platform tools.
• Strong communication skills and proactive mindset; ability to work with colleagues from different countries.
• Ability to work accurately, prioritize, and collaborate independently and in a team.
• Comfortable with Excel; experience with ERP systems and data tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop accounting expertise across AR, cash management, AP, GL and consolidation.
• Support preparation, reconciliation and review of accounting information across finance processes.
• Investigate outstanding items, perform analyses and suggest improvements.
• Contribute to month-end closing activities with reconciliations and analysis.
• Prepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions with compliance to policies.
• Apply internal controls and governance requirements in day-to-day work.
• Ensure timely preparation of accounting entries and supporting documents.
• Help reconcile and review balance sheet accounts for robust reporting.
• Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and digital tool adoption.

Main roles

• Develop your accounting expertise across several areas of finance accounting, including accounts receivable, cash management, accounts payable, general ledger and consolidation, through a structured and supportive learning journey
• Support the preparation, reconciliation and review of accounting information across different finance processes, helping ensure transactions are recorded accurately and on time
• Investigate outstanding items, perform analyses and actively contribute ideas to improve day-to-day accounting processes
• Contribute to month-end closing activities, including reconciliations, analytical reviews and explanation of key account movements
• Prepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions while ensuring completeness, accuracy and compliance with internal accounting policies and principles
• Apply and respect internal controls and accounting procedures, while developing a solid understanding of financial governance requirements
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of accounting entries and supporting documentation
• Contribute to the reconciliation and quality review of balance sheet accounts to support robust financial reporting
• Get involved in accounting and transformation initiatives that help modernize processes, improve efficiency and raise the quality of our finance operations
• Build awareness of how technology is transforming finance, with opportunities to learn and contribute to digital tools, automation initiatives and data-driven ways of working
• Develop practical exposure to finance technology solutions such as AI-enabled tools, Power Platform applications and process improvement approaches that support the finance function of the future

Qualifications

• Able to work accurately, organize priorities effectively and collaborate well both independently and as part of a team
