AFRY is seeking an Assistant Structural Designer for BIM projects. The role involves creating and maintaining BIM models in Revit, coordinating disciplines, and ensuring data quality across design stages. Office locations include Poznań, Kraków, or Łódź with hybrid work options; team collaboration across Nordic projects and design centers.

Qualified candidates bring 2–5 years of BIM experience, Revit proficiency, and English at CEFR B1 or above, plus familiarity with point clouds and MS Office.

Qualifications

• A degree in Building Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in 3D modelling or BIM.
• English written and spoken at CEFR level B1 or higher.
• Hands-on experience from at least three large Revit design projects.
• Solid working knowledge of MS Office applications.
• A proactive approach with good decision-making and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and maintain BIM models using Revit.

About the team in Sweden

Our Malmö office in Sweden is home to a team of around 10 dedicated BIM Specialists. They are a part of Advisory, working across cost management, sustainable building strategies, and early-stage energy and design analysis to support smarter decision‑making throughout the project lifecycle.

We work with a wide range of assignments, spanning from early-stage BIM strategy development to the long-term management of Digital Twins. Our team is currently involved in around 20 ongoing projects of varying scale and complexity. In general, we work in dedicated project teams, and our engineers typically handle 2-5 projects simultaneously.

The design-phase of our projects is a relatively set process with following main stages:

• Pre-design
• As-Built drawings.

We work with all kinds of buildings ranging from hospitals, offices, schools, datacentres and much more

Your key responsibilities:

in Revit (Core Competence):

• Create, develop, and maintain BIM models using Revit
• Support the creation and management of families, templates, and project standards
• Ensure models are well-structured, coordinated, and aligned with project requirements
• Assist in converting point cloud data into accurate, BIM-ready models
• Support digital engineering workflows by integrating scanned data into design and coordination processes
• Help ensure data quality and alignment between existing conditions and design models
• Expertise in point cloud management software, incl. Autodesk ReCap, Navisworks

in BIM Coordination & Quality Assurance:

• Contribute to model coordination across disciplines and support clash detection activities
• Review models to identify inconsistencies, missing information, or deviations from standards
• Scripting and automated model checking
• Support the implementation and documentation of BIM standards, naming conventions, and classification systems
• Contribute to improving workflows, templates, and digital tools within the BIM environment
• Stay up to date with BIM tools, technologies, and best practices

Must have:

• A degree in Building Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Architecture
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in 3D modelling or previous experience as a BIM Specialist
• Good written and spoken English (minimum CEFR level B1)
• Hands‑on experience from at least three large Revit design projects
• Solid working knowledge of MS Office applications
• A proactive approach, ability to take decisionsandstrong sense of quality

Good to have:

• Experience of working abroad, especially projects in the Nordics
• Knowledge of the Swedish building industry and building standards
• Knowledge of FME
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language
• Skills in AutoCAD and NavisWorks/ Solibri
