Job summary

The University of Silesia in Katowice invites applications for Assistant Professor (M/F) in the group of research-teaching staff at the Institute of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences. Two full-time positions are available, with a base monthly remuneration of 7,913 PLN and a fixed-term contract.

The successful candidates will conduct research in psychology, teach the 2nd-cycle Psychology program, and fulfill an annual teaching load of 210 hours, along with related duties.

Qualifications

• PhD in psychology as mandatory.
• Active research record in psychology with indexed publications.
• Experience securing external research funding.
• International scientific activity (internships, conferences).
• Teaching experience in psychometrics, statistics or advanced data analysis.
• Ability to teach using distance learning tools.
• English proficiency at least B2 level for teaching.
• Polish language ability or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scientific research in psychology and publish results.
• Teach classes for the 2nd cycle Psychology program.
• Realize annual teaching load of 210 hours.
• Perform organizational duties per Individual Assignment of Duties.
