Job summary

Fresenius Group in Poland is seeking an experienced Security Architect to design and operate robust AI security controls across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will lead architecture decisions, drive Zero Trust adoption, and mentor engineers.

You will collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Network, Data and AI/ML teams to embed security into IaC, CI/CD, and model deployment, ensuring secure AI pathways and governed access.

Qualifications

• Experience designing secure architectures for cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Strong knowledge of AI Gateways and security tooling.
• Ability to perform threat modeling and security reviews.

Welcome to the IT Security team at Fresenius Digital Technology! We are responsible for the implementation, management and operation of programs, projects and services for a wide range of different security capabilities in various business segments within the Fresenius Group.

We are looking for a highly motivated team member who will ensure that security controls for AI platforms and models are thoughtfully designed, continuously maintained, and fully embedded into engineering and operational processes. You will work closely with enabling teams across the CISO pillars, leveraging existing security services and enhancing them with AI-specific capabilities and patterns.

Your responsibilities:

• Designing and developing secure infrastructure architecture supporting AI/ML solutions and AI systems. The role focuses on building security blueprints for infrastructure and implementing security controls using leading market tools and AI-driven solutions
• Defining security standards and architectural patterns for on-premises, cloud and hybrid infrastructures
• Designing secure communication between applications, AI services, models, APIs, and data platforms
• Defining and implementing Zero Trust and least privilege principles at the infrastructure and network levels
• Analyzing architecture for potential attack vectors and designing technical security controls to mitigate risks
• Conducting technical security reviews of infrastructure and platform solutions
• Collaborating with Cloud, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Network, Security Engineering, Data, and AI/ML teams
• Developing security guardrails and standards automated through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines
• Supporting the selection and integration of technologies related to network security, cloud security, and AI security
• Providing technical leadership in security architecture and mentoring other architects and engineers
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure Security and Network Security
• Proven experience in designing secure architectures in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Strong knowledge of AI Gateways
• Solid understanding of security in Kubernetes environments and container platforms
• Understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) in the context of infrastructure, workload identity, service-to-service authentication, and secrets management
• Experience designing architectures in accordance with Zero Trust, least privilege, defense-in-depth, and secure-by-design principles
• Ability to perform technical security reviews and threat modeling for infrastructure and platforms
• Ability to operate at the enterprise architecture level while maintaining a deep understanding of technical details, including firewall and gateway configuration, as well as network traffic flows
• Experience leading technical architecture decisions and collaborating with multiple engineering teams
• Understanding of the infrastructure requirements and security considerations for AI/ML systems, including: security of infrastructure hosting AI models, securing communication with inference services, securing AI APIs, isolation of AI workloads, access control for models and data, integration of AI models with enterprise systems, risks associated with external AI models
• Business-fluent English is required; German language skills are an advantage
