Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Software Engineer to help design and scale AI-enabled platforms. You will contribute to backend systems and AI solutions, partnering with research, engineering, and product teams to shape the roadmap.

The role emphasizes building SDKs and APIs, following best practices, and mentoring teammates, with a strong focus on curiosity and independent, organized delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production-quality, scalable backend coding experience.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, C++, or Python with strong design skills.
• Experience building SDKs or web service APIs (REST/gRPC).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, and agile dev practices.
• Curious, able to formulate problems from abstract information.
• Ability to communicate results clearly to leadership and work in teams.

Responsibilities

• Think creatively to solve complex, ambiguous problems.
• Develop and serve AI platforms and improve Snowflake's AI functionalities.
• Collaborate with research, engineering, and business teams on strategy.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and product managers.
