About the role

We’re growing our engineering team and hiring versatile Senior Backend Engineers who work closely with GenAI technology to build impactful products. You’ll build the foundations that power our AI Agents at scale, designing systems for reliability, performance, and change.

Requirements include proficient knowledge in at least one of the following languages: Java, Scala, or Python, and openness to work across others. As an AI‑native engineering org, you’ll use modern AI tools for design, code generation, testing, and documentation while maintaining solid engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, reliable, and performant backend services that power AI Agents.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on architecture decisions, end‑to‑end solutions, and engineering practices.
• Develop and maintain microservices (Scala/Java) communicating via gRPC, Kafka, and exposing GraphQL APIs.
• Write automated tests, apply Ports and Adapters patterns, and ensure observability, maintainable architecture, and high code quality.
• Leverage AI tools for design exploration, code scaffolding, test generation, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Excellent coding skills in Java, Scala, or Python and a passion for learning.
• Solid expertise in using AI dev tools to enhance workflow.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Proven system‑design skills with ability to choose technologies and architectures wisely.
• Experience with distributed systems.
• Product acumen, ownership, and focus on delivering value to customers.
• Working proficiency in English and Polish (both spoken and written).

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker Swarm / Kubernetes.
• Experience with NoSQL databases and GraphQL.
• Experience with Kafka or other message brokers.
• Experience with Akka framework.
