Job summary

Speechify Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join its remote team and help build data pipelines powering model training and next‑generation AI products.

You will work on high‑quality datasets at scale, collaborating with AI scientists to improve training data and system reliability. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software experience, strong Python and Bash, and hands-on experience with production data pipelines in Linux.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio data and build reliable pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems with quality, throughput, and cost focus.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to enhance training datasets and models.
• Own engineering projects from problem discovery through implementation and improvement.
