Chicago Public Schools is seeking a licensed teacher to instruct and manage classrooms on the Southwest Side of Chicago. The role involves implementing CPS teaching strategies, tracking student progress, and maintaining a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities include collaborating with case managers and counselors to tailor instruction to individual student needs and meeting IEP goals in alignment with Illinois guidelines. A bachelor's degree and CPS application are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completion of CPS online application and teaching profile.
• Valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education with appropriate endorsement(s).

Responsabilités

• Under the supervision of the school principal, teachers are responsible for instruction, progress, tracking, and discipline of all students in assigned classes.
• Work collaboratively with case managers, counselors, and general education teachers to determine instructional and social needs of students.
• Set goals for IEPs that are achievable and comparable to peers per Illinois guidelines.
• Utilize a continuous improvement process to refine teaching practices within CPS framework.
