PrimeHR is hiring an experienced Optical Network Implementation & Project Delivery Engineer for a leading multinational telecom company in Islamabad. This role is vital for deploying, maintaining, and optimizing advanced optical networks to ensure high availability and performance.

As an Optical Network Engineer, you will lead implementation, commissioning, and migration activities for DWDM, SDH, MSTP, and OTN technologies. You will work on complex cutovers, service migrations, and integration of multi-vendor networks while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This position offers an opportunity to work on cutting‑edge optical solutions, including OSN platforms, and contribute to large-scale telecom projects in Pakistan.

• Implement and commission DWDM, SDH, MSTP, MPLS network equipment.
• Manage optical network migration and cutover activities (SDH → OTN, FOADM → ROADM).
• Perform service migrations, rerouting, and node insertions using NCE/NMS.
• Ensure network protection and service mechanisms (ASON, MPLS, Data Services).
• Deliver projects on time with proper documentation and risk management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in optical network integration, commissioning, and project delivery.
• Proficiency in DWDM, SDH, MSTP, OTN/MS‑OTN, and NMS systems.
• Hands‑on experience with OSN 9800 (M12/M24/U32/U64) and OSN 1800V/VPRO.
• Strong troubleshooting and risk management skills.

• Experience with multi‑vendor network cutovers.
• Knowledge of advanced optical protection mechanisms and CDC nodes.
• Familiarity with complex ASON solutions and MPLS integration.
• Ability to work under challenging deployment scenarios and off‑hour support.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
