MAKRA Vertrieb is seeking an experienced Web Developer to join the growing e-commerce team and help build, optimize, and support high-traffic online shops. You will collaborate with product management, IT, and the e-commerce teams on both frontend and backend tasks, performance improvements, and integrations.

You will work on large product databases, implement API integrations, and ensure scalable, reliable websites with clean, well-documented code.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional web development experience.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of PHP.
• Good experience with MySQL / SQL databases.
• Experience with REST APIs and API integrations.
• Experience with e-commerce websites and online shops.
• Experience working with large amounts of product data.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve company websites and online shops.
• Implement new website functions and features.
• Maintain and improve frontend and backend functionality.
• Identify and fix website errors and technical problems.
• Improve website loading speed and overall performance.
• Optimize websites for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly website layouts.
• Work with APIs and connect external systems.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced and solution-oriented Web Developer to join our growing e-commerce team.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience developing, maintaining, improving, and troubleshooting professional e-commerce websites.

You will work closely with our e-commerce, product management, and IT teams on our online shops and various technical projects. Your responsibilities will include frontend and backend development, performance optimization, integrations, troubleshooting, database-related work, and the continuous improvement of our websites.

We operate large e-commerce systems with a high number of products, so performance, reliability, clean development, and scalability are extremely important.

Job Specification

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional web development experience
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Strong knowledge of PHP
• Good experience working with MySQL / SQL databases
• Experience with REST APIs and API integrations

• Ability to understand existing code and improve it without causing unnecessary problems
