Job summary

iSystems Ltd seeks an experienced VP Data Analytics for Functions to lead data analytics and transformation across Regulatory Reporting, Finance, Compliance and Risk in the banking and financial services sector.

The role drives regulatory reporting automation, ensures Central Bank compliance, and builds governance and technology frameworks across CIBG and IBG regions, collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure and compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 15–18+ years of experience in regulatory reporting, compliance, financial data analytics, or data transformation within banking/financial services.
• Strong expertise in Central Bank regulatory frameworks and data analytics implementation within core banking transformation programs, preferably across the UAE and IBG regions.
• Proven experience in regulatory technology automation, reporting platform implementation, and vendor management.
• Experience leading large cross-functional teams across Run the Bank (RTB) and Change Management functions.
• Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, regulatory data lineage, data quality, and audit-readiness principles.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms, AI/ML technologies, GenAI services, and enterprise technology integration.
• Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, project management, and resource allocation.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to build, mentor, and scale high-performing analytics teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance business transformation and technology innovation with regulatory, security, ethical, and operational requirements.
• Certificates in AI/ML, cloud platforms, or analytics tools are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory reporting automation initiatives across CIBG and IBG regions, ensuring compliance with Central Bank regulations and circulars.
• Develop regulatory reporting strategies, governance frameworks, and SLAs to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Assess new regulatory circulars, evaluate their business impact, and drive implementation strategies.
• Oversee the architecture, design, implementation, and optimization of regulatory reporting tools and platforms.
• Manage vendor selection, implementation, and performance to ensure effective technology delivery.
• Establish and oversee Run the Bank (RTB) and Change Management teams to support sustainable operations and continuous improvement.
• Lead the end-to-end regulatory reporting automation roadmap, aligning business priorities with enterprise data strategy.
• Establish data quality frameworks, metadata standards, regulatory data lineage, and audit-readiness practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Wholesale Banking, and International Banking to develop data-driven solutions.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of data engineers, BI developers, data scientists, and AI/ML specialists, promoting innovation and agile delivery.
• Drive the adoption of modern data platforms, AI/ML technologies, and GenAI solutions, including LLM-powered assistants and prompt engineering frameworks.
• Participate in Regulatory Reporting Centre of Excellence (COE) activities, including policy development, use-case evaluation, vendor selection, and project approvals.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and annual planning for regulatory reporting and compliance initiatives.
• Oversee program delivery, system performance, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure strategic alignment and operational efficiency.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to data privacy, security, regulatory compliance, and responsible AI implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement, scalability, and technology innovation across regional operations.
