Position Overview :
The Video Editor position is responsible for producing high-quality, engaging visual content that supports the University's branding, marketing, and communication objectives across digital platforms. The ideal candidate should be passionate about storytelling, have strong video editing and motion design skills, and can independently manage projects from concept to final delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of branding, social media content, AI-powered video creation, and post-production workflows.
Key Responsibilities :
- Edit and produce high-quality videos for social media, websites, advertisements, campaigns, and presentations.
- Create product explainer videos, demo reels, promotional videos, and feature highlight content.
- Design and integrate motion graphics, 2D animations, titles, transitions, and visual effects to enhance video content.
- Perform colour correction and colour grading to ensure visual consistency and premium output.
- Edit raw footage, voiceovers, screen recordings, and audio into polished, brand-aligned videos.
- Develop animated creatives for platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and other digital channels.
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and platform-specific best practices.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and content teams to translate creative briefs into compelling visual stories.
- Stay updated with the latest video production techniques, AI tools, design trends, and platform requirements.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, and Figma
- Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve for professional video editing and colour grading
- Experience in creating motion graphics, animations, and visual effects for digital media
- Familiarity with AI-assisted video editing technologies and digital content creation trends
- Ability to edit and colour grade LOG footage, including Sony S-Log3 and DJI D-Log formats
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and CapCut
- Understanding of visual storytelling, branding principles, typography, composition, and colour theory
- Sound knowledge of video production, editing techniques, motion graphics, and post-production workflows
- Knowledge of video formats, codecs, compression techniques, export settings, and platform optimisation

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Media Studies, Film & Television, Multimedia Arts, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related discipline from a HEC-recognized institution.
Experience:
At least 02 years of relevant professional experience in video editing, motion graphics, multimedia production, or a similar role.
Additional Requirement:
A portfolio or showreel demonstrating proficiency in video editing, motion graphics, animation, and colour grading is required.
