Key Responsibilities

• Edit engaging, high-quality short-form videos with a strong focus on audience retention, pacing, and storytelling.
• Create structured, retention-driven edits using techniques such as punchy zooms, jump cuts, dynamic transitions, and kinetic captions.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, hooks, and viewer engagement.
• Edit talking-head content and effectively source and integrate relevant B-roll to enhance storytelling.
• Apply professional sound design, including the effective use of background music, sound effects, audio enhancements, and synchronization.
• Prepare and customize visual assets required for video editing, including graphics, images, text elements, and other supporting assets.
• Ensure all edits are visually engaging, polished, and optimized for modern short-form content platforms.
• Collaborate with the creative team and incorporate feedback while maintaining quality and consistency.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of professional experience in video editing, preferably focused on short-form digital content.
• Strong expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and CapCut.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop for preparing, editing, and customizing assets required for video projects.
• Proven ability to create fast-paced, attention-grabbing, and retention-focused edits.
• Excellent understanding of jump cuts, zooms, kinetic typography/captions, visual pacing, and storytelling techniques.
• Strong skills in finding, selecting, and incorporating relevant B-roll to support the narrative.
• Advanced understanding of sound design, including music selection, sound effects, audio synchronization, and creating impactful audio moments.
• Good understanding of short-form content trends and modern editing styles.
• Strong English language proficiency, including the ability to understand, interpret, and accurately edit English-language content.
• Ability to manage feedback, meet deadlines, and maintain consistent quality across multiple projects.
