Our client Pakistan Revenue Automation (Pvt) Ltd is looking for a Technical Support Officer in Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot, Quetta, Peshawar.
The POS Support Officer is responsible for ensuring smooth onboarding, integration, monitoring, and support of retailers connected to the POS system, ensuring compliance with sales tax laws and real-time transaction reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- POS Integration & Onboarding
- Facilitate onboarding of retailers into the POS system.
- Coordinate with POS integrators and retailers for system integration.
- Verify POS configuration, registration, and real-time connectivity with FBR servers.
- Assist in issuance and validation of POS IDs and credentials.
- Technical Support
- Provide first-level technical support to retailers and integrators.
- Resolve issues related to invoice transmission, system errors, duplication, and downtime.
- Escalate complex technical issues to IT Wing or system vendors.Maintain issue logs and resolution timelines.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare periodic reports (daily, weekly, monthly) on POS activity.
- Analyze trends such as peak hours, invoice volumes, and item-level data.
- Support IT Wing and domain teams by providing data in prescribed formats.
- Assist in reconciliation of POS data with sales tax returns.
- System & Record Management
- Maintain records of POS-registered taxpayers and their system status.
- Assist in archiving or flagging duplicate or erroneous invoices with approval.
- Ensure documentation of approvals, system changes, and corrective actions.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Understanding of POS systems, invoicing, and retail operations.
- Basic knowledge of Sales Tax Act, POS rules, and FBR notifications.
- Strong analytical skills for data validation and anomaly detection.Proficiency in Excel, databases, and MIS reporting tools.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple cases.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Commerce, or Accounting (preferred).
- Relevant certifications in IT systems or data analysis are an advantage.
Experience
- Experience in POS systems, ERP, tax systems, or government IT projects preferred.
- Fresh candidates with strong technical aptitude may also be considered.
