Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care throughout the shift in a calm, courteous manner.
• Maintain safety by adhering to infection-control policies and procedures.
• Assist doctors during rounds and procedures and prepare equipment.
• Prepare, administer, and record medications as prescribed.
• Check and record vital signs and blood sugar; monitor pre/post-operative patients.
• Ensure unit/ward supplies are stocked and properly stored.
• Supervise Nurse Aids and Student Nurses as required.
