Overview

Develop and execute test plans for Linux-based environments. Experience in the Open source environment testing is needed. Perform functional, integration, and regression testing on Linux systems and applications. Troubleshoot and analyze issues identified during testing. Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to improve system performance and reliability. Document test results and provide detailed reports to project teams. Automate testing processes using scripting languages such as Lava, SHell, Python. Must possess practical experience with GitHub, along with expertise in open-source workflows, including upstream, downstream, and mainline processes. Proven experience in Linux system testing and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, including distributions like Ubuntu. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
• OR Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
• OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1+ year of work or academic experience with Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans and/or tools (e.g., Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools).
