Sourcing Associate (Management Trainee Program)
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Through Sourcing Associate Program, we offer you a unique platform to start your careercoached by experienced mentors and managers. You will have the opportunity to rotate within 24months through different teams. You will be offered training sessions, on-the-job trainingincluded, from internal experts to develop your own portfolio of skills and to foster the ability totransfer this knowledge and apply it to your daily work. Your senior-level mentor will providereal-time feedback through the entire course and help you define long-term career paths. UponProgram graduation, you are expected to land in a managerial role.Your commitments to the program will help you establish the knowledge, exposures, andconnections to be a well-rounded future Product Development & Sourcing leader, and furtherguarantee the continuous success of the Product Development & Sourcing organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To learn and actively participate to the basic roles and responsibilities associated with the keySourcing Operation and Functions, tasks and responsibilities: Product Creation (includingCosting, Materials, and Product Testing), Tactical and Production Planning, Manufacturing(including Quality and ME). Successfully intern in these roles and participate as active member to the Teams’ success.
- Impact on Business – Provide a pool of highly capable individuals ready to step in key positions when necessary.
- Customer/Suppliers/Third Parties – Shadowing the Senior Director Sourcing Operations(SDSO)/Directors/Senior Managers in most of his/her interactions, while participating tothe Team daily duties, interacts with the same group as the SDSO/Directors/SeniorManagers. As part of the daily duties, the Sourcing Associate needs to understand thefunctions and R&R, provide concrete support to the assigned Departments, report tomentor (SDSO) on a regular basis and receive coaching.
- Leadership/Management Responsibilities – Capable to take functional and project leadership under SDSO guidance; should be considered by others within the Team as “role model” for higher roles within the organization.
- Innovation and Change – Create attitude for change and bring new ideas to the Teams.
- Ensure all sourcing operations and practices fully comply with adidas’ ResponsibleSourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards and legal requirements, while managingthe relevant processes internally and externally

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Technical skills (manufacturing, planning, project management, industrial engineering, materials engineering, biomechanical or sport science preferred)
- Analytical skills, reporting and data collection
- Open mind, passionate about sports
REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- We are looking for world citizens with a passion for excellence, an open and inquisitivemind and passion for sports. Talented individuals, willing to learn, are fitting this job,which requires attention to details, curiosity, spirit of observation and discipline.
- No previous work experience required but preferred. Vocational training (preferred in amultinational organization), MA in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial) orMBA preferred.
- Flexibility and willingness to relocate at Company’s request.
