Job summary

GSK Karachi site seeks Head of Engineering to provide leadership, technical direction for site infrastructure, oversee Liquid, Tablet, and Penicillin value streams, and drive capital projects in line with GMP standards. You will lead engineering teams, manage facilities, energy, and sustainability initiatives, and collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications

• B.E in Mechanical, Industrial Manufacturing, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
• 7–8 years of experience in Engineering and/or EHS domains with leadership.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience managing internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong communication and presentation skills across multiple stakeholders.
• Understanding of financial aspects to support budgeting and investment decisions.
• Proficiency with MS Office for reporting, analysis, and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic input into annual plans and technology transfers to align engineering with long-term objectives.
• Maintain production facilities to meet manufacturing and support requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and utilization of engineering resources.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and ensure Quality and EHS standards and service targets.
• Manage site administration and infrastructure services through contractors.
• Design and implement energy management and sustainability initiatives.
• Plan and deliver capital projects within approved scope, budget, and GMP/EHS compliance.
• Act as engineering lead during regulatory audits and inspections.
• Identify and integrate emerging technologies to improve site performance.
• Collaborate with production, quality, supply chain to integrate engineering services.
