Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Engineer specializing in Automation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning services for our automated systems. The Service Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and optimal performance of automation solutions.
Site Work
- Execute site works including installations supervision, commissioning & startups activities.
- Conduct site surveys as per project requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful integration of automation solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to automation equipment promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure system reliability.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing their queries and concerns.
Design and Engineering
- Hardware designing & implementation for specialized Control Systems including DCS, SIS & FGS.
- Related experience in Wellhead facilities including Wellhead Control Panels, Skids, and Solar Systems will be an advantage.
- Aware of/have a conceptual understanding of major industrial standards being followed.
- Understanding of major instrumentation being used and clarity on the working principle.
- Understands/can gather required Information from customer specifications (including functional requirement specifications, P&IDs, C&Es, drawings, narratives, philosophies, etc.).
- Have carried out System Staging, Internal Testing & FAT.
Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports, manuals, and documentation updates.
- Collaborate with the technical writing team to improve and develop service documentation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest enhancements to increase system efficiency.
Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and project management, to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelors in Electrical, Instrumentation & Control System Engineering.
- 8+ Years of experience in the Field of Instrumentation & Control Systems.
- Good hands-on & field experience with the below-mentioned Systems:
- ABB 800xA
- Rockwell PLCs
- Siemens PLCs
- Field Instrumentation Knowledge
- Radio communication
- Network topologies (Ethernet, Modbus communication)
- P&IDs understanding
- Electrical Systems Basic Knowledge
- Good interpersonal skills and exposure to both Offshore & onshore platforms.
