Job summary

The candidate should have 5+ years as a Sous Chef, knowledge of Pakistani cuisine, strong leadership and communication skills, and a culinary arts degree or diploma preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position in Karachi.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant.
• Knowledge of Pakistani cuisine and cooking techniques.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in creating menus that showcase traditional Pakistani dishes with modern twists.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and feedback as needed.
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and high-quality standards are maintained at all times.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, costing, budgeting, and scheduling.
