Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced .NET developer to design, build, and optimize enterprise backend services in a Microsoft stack environment. You will maintain legacy ASP.NET applications, improve integration services for customer migrations, and contribute to performance tuning across application and database layers.

The role requires strong SQL Server skills, code reviews, and collaboration with customers and stakeholders. Familiarity with Octopus Deploy and distributed teams is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using C#, .NET, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and enhancing legacy ASP.NET applications
• Ability to work with large, mature codebases developed by multiple contributors
• Strong SQL Server development skills, including query optimization and performance tuning
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing performance across application and database layers
• Experience using Git/GitHub for version control

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance backend services using C# and the Microsoft technology stack

• Collaborate with customers, Product Owners, and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical guidance

• Produce maintainable, well-documented code
• Recommend improvements to system architecture and application performance
