Job summary

Codup is seeking a skilled Shopify Developer to join our delivery team. You''ll work across storefronts, themes, and embedded apps, spanning Liquid on the storefront to backend database designs.

This hands-on role emphasizes end-to-end ownership and performance on Shopify Plus projects. You''ll build custom storefronts, develop apps with OAuth and App Bridge, integrate with ERP/CRM systems, and ensure secure handling of credentials.

Qualifications

• Proven Shopify Developer with portfolio.
• Strong Liquid skills and Shopify 2.0 knowledge (sections/blocks).
• Hands-on with Shopify APIs: Admin (GraphQL & REST), Storefront, and Cart.
• Experience building embedded Shopify apps: OAuth, session tokens, App Bridge, and Polaris.
• Experience with theme app extensions and Shopify CLI.
• Knowledge of metaobjects and metafields as content layer.
• Shopify webhooks: subscriptions and reliable processing.
• Frontend fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.
• TypeScript in production; Node.js backend; Remix preferred.
• PostgreSQL: schema design, migrations; ORM like Prisma/Drizzle.
• Git with PR workflow and CI/CD exposure.
• Shopify Plus experience.
• Clear communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Shopify storefronts and themes with a focus on performance.
• Develop embedded Shopify apps with OAuth install flows and admin interfaces.
• Create theme app extensions and ship through Shopify CLI.
• Work with Shopify APIs (Admin, Storefront, Cart) and webhooks.
• Model content with metaobjects and metafields.
• Design backend services and database schemas to support app functionality.
• Integrate with ERP/CRM/3PLs and handle failures.
• Handle credentials securely and encrypt data.
• Translate designs into accessible interfaces.
• Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews and CI/CD.
• Troubleshoot across stack from storefront to backend integration.
