Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Karachi is seeking a quality control professional to support the QC Manager, Validation team, Stability, Packaging Materials and Finish Goods across QC activities and technical problem resolution.

The role focuses on ensuring all physical, chemical, and instrumental testing is performed as per approved procedures for Finished Goods, Raw Materials, Packaging and in-process products, with emphasis on timely problem-solving and adherence to schedules.

Qualifications

• Science Graduate or Master; Pharm D preferred.
• 5-6 years’ experience in QC/validation/related roles.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist QC Manager to ensure no delays or non-availability of product/material and smooth introduction of new products.
• Ensure all Physical, Chemical, and instrumental testing are performed per approved procedures for Finished Goods, Stability, Packaging, Raw materials and in-process products.
• Review daily QC Lab planning and support EHS activities.
• Disposition of Finished Goods, Raw Materials, Packaging Materials within agreed lead times; review analytical data before final disposition.
• Support QC Manager/QC staff for technical problem resolution in QC Lab.
• Ensure timely completion of Non-Volume Related Activities (Test Method Validation, Cleaning validation, CSV, Training Schedule, Reference Standards, annual Calibration/Maintenance Schedule, LIR preparation, ER/CR raises).
• Plan and implement certification and reorientation schedules for all analysts and maintain records.
• Ensure one yearly or per-procedure testing for skip-tested raw materials.
