Job summary

Creative Chaos in Karachi is seeking a QA Engineer to plan, execute, and oversee manual testing across web and mobile apps within an Agile team. You will develop test plans, report defects, and collaborate with developers and release managers to ensure quality before client delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of QA experience, strong SQL and scripting, and hands-on with Postman and JMeter. Hybrid work option, insurance benefits, and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject.
• 3–4 years of experience in manual software quality assurance, preferably with mobile testing.
• Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with white-box and black-box testing.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
• Strong SQL knowledge and scripting ability.
• Proficiency in Postman and JMeter.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement day-to-day testing activities in an agile/scrum environment.
• Participate in scrum & product planning; manage testing scope across all types and phases.
• Document and facilitate communication and troubleshooting of issues; validate and close-out before delivery.
• Collaborate with QA staff to ensure timely, high-quality daily QA tasks.
• Develop processes to achieve highest quality assurance levels.
• Investigate procedures and workflows to keep processes up to date.
• Assist in development of ongoing QA training programs for the team.
• Provide orientation and training for new hires in QA.
• Maintain open communication with internal teams.
• Assist with project kickoffs and requirements/specs gathering.
• Define technical test cases aligned to complex requirements and architecture.
• Work with project/engineering teams to enforce quality gates at each stage of the pipeline.

Job description

• Plan, organize, and implement day to day activities of testing and work with developers, architects, and technical release managers within an agile/scrum environment
• Participate in scrum & product planning and be responsible for all phases and types of testing, including but not limited to strategies, requirements, planning, management, execution and reporting
• Document and facilitate communication and troubleshooting of issues, bugs, changes validate and close-out all issues prior to client delivery
• Collaborate with other QA staff to accomplish all daily QA tasks on-time with a high level of quality
• Develop process to ensure the highest level of quality assurance possible
• Investigate procedures, workflows, and software to keep processes up to date
• Assist in the development of on-going training programs for the QA Team
• Provide department specific orientation and training for new hires
• Maintain open communication with internal teams
• Assist with internal project kickoffs and requirements/specs gathering
• Understand complex business and functional requirements and provide direction in designing the technical test cases that thoroughly test the tech stack from architectural standpoint and meet the project requirements
• Work with project, engineering teams in implementing & enforcing quality gates at each stage of pipeline
