Job summary

INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to lead project planning, scheduling, and controls for EPC projects across Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Utilities, and Manufacturing. The ideal candidate has 6–10 years of experience with Primavera P6, integrated scheduling, and earned value management, and will coordinate across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 6–10 years of relevant EPC planning experience.
• Proven experience managing integrated project schedules from engineering through handover.
• Experience coordinating in-house engineering teams, consultants, procurement, and subcontractors with schedule reviews.
• Working knowledge of structural fabrication milestones and their interfaces with engineering, procurement, inspections, and delivery.
• EPC experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or industrial projects is preferred.
• PMI-SP, PMP or equivalent planning certification is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, advanced Microsoft Excel, and Power BI, with SharePoint knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of CPM, S-curves, resource and cost loading, earned value management, schedule risk assessment, recovery planning, and delay analysis.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, bills of quantities, contractual milestones, and project controls requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Strong ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple project priorities, meet reporting deadlines, and escalate risks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated, resource-loaded, and cost-loaded project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Coordinate schedules across engineering teams, consultants, procurement, fabrication subcontractors, construction, and commissioning.
• Review consultant and subcontractor schedules, validate progress updates, track engineering deliverables, and ensure alignment with approved baselines.
• Develop manpower plans and resource forecasts, identify constraints, and recommend adjustments to support project execution.
• Establish progress measurement systems and integrate schedule, cost, and man-hour data for earned value and performance analysis.
• Analyze critical paths, schedule variances, and project trends; forecast completion dates and identify risks/delays.
• Develop and monitor recovery plans, including schedule resequencing and resource adjustments.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, look-ahead schedules, and dashboards using Excel/Power BI.
• Assess schedule impacts of scope changes and disruptions, supporting delay analysis and extension-of-time submissions.
• Maintain project baselines, revisions, progress records, and reporting documentation through SharePoint.

This role is pivotal in leading project planning, scheduling, progress measurement, and project controls for complex EPC projects across the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Utilities, and Manufacturing industries.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
