Job summary

HR POD - Hiring Talent Globally seeks an experienced Senior .NET backend developer in Karachi to design and maintain secure, scalable financial software.

You will build RESTful APIs, work with microservices, and ensure robust security, authentication (OAuth/JWT), and efficient data access with SQL Server. Collaboration with frontend, QA, and product teams is essential for reliable, compliant fintech solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SE, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in .NET application development.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET Core/.NET 8, ASP.NET Core, and Web APIs.
• Experience designing scalable, secure, high-availability backend systems.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, DI, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is preferred.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based version control.
• Strong understanding of application security, OAuth/JWT, encryption, and secure coding practices.
• Experience in FinTech or regulated environments is highly preferred.
• Experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable backend solutions using .NET technologies.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services for financial applications.
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, QA, and product teams to deliver reliable software.
• Design database structures and optimize queries to improve performance.
• Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
• Participate in system architecture discussions and recommend improvements.
• Review code, mentor team members, and enforce coding standards.
• Develop automated tests and support CI/CD processes.
• Monitor application performance and improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
