Job summary

Midas Safety Pakistan is seeking a Senior Officer - Mechanical Engineering in Karachi to lead mechanical projects, support plant facilities, and ensure reliability and safety across sites.

You will apply knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication, piping, and HVAC, and use AutoCAD, SAP, and MS Office to produce drawings, calculations, and reports. The role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience and a BE/BS or ME/MS in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

• BE/BS or ME/MS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-3 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, preferably in Automotive or Steel manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication, piping, HVAC, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical engineering projects related to machinery, buildings, and warehouses.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve mechanical issues through troubleshooting and technical assessments.
• Conduct equipment inspections, performance tests, and QA checks for reliability and compliance.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, calculations, and reports.
• Coordinate with vendors for evaluations, procurement, and material requirements.
• Monitor project expenses and prepare cost estimates to adhere to budgets.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address technical challenges and achieve project objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement by evaluating processes and recommending cost‑effective solutions.
