Job summary

Mashreq Careers is seeking a Senior Manager – Sanctions Compliance to lead the governance and oversight function within the Sanctions and FI Compliance department. The role ensures robust compliance frameworks, effective risk management, and transparent reporting across the bank’s global operations.

You will drive governance standards, oversee regulatory reporting, and partner with internal audit, legal, and risk teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, or related field.
• Advanced degree or professional certifications preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in compliance, governance, or risk management.
• Experience with global or regional oversight responsibilities.
• Proven ability to manage governance frameworks and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee governance framework and risk management across jurisdictions.
• Lead enterprise-wide compliance oversight programs and risk assessments.
• Monitor controls and escalate material issues to senior management.
• Ensure timely follow-up of audit findings and gaps.
• Oversee regulators' and board-level reporting with accuracy and clarity.
