Senior Manager – Client Accounting Services (Dedicated Client)

Location: Karachi, Pakistan | Working Hours: Evening / US Time Zone | Department: Finance & Accounting Services (FAS) | Employment Type: Full‑Time

Job Summary

Arthur Lawrence is hiring a Senior Manager – Client Accounting Services to act as the primary accounting owner for a single, dedicated U.S.-based client. This role is responsible for end-to-end accounting operations, U.S. GAAP financial reporting, audit coordination, compliance, internal controls, and team leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong execution capability, hands‑on accounting expertise, and experience managing client‑facing accounting engagements.

Client Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Review and approve financial statements prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Manage consolidated financial reporting, variance analysis, and trend analysis.
  • Review balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement accuracy.
  • Prepare and review ad‑hoc accounting analyses and management reports.
Audit, Compliance & Internal Controls
  • Serve as the primary accounting contact for external audits and reviews.
  • Coordinate audit timelines, documentation, and audit requests.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain, document, and enhance internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Address audit findings and support remediation and corrective actions.
Budgeting & Financial Monitoring
  • Support budget preparation and periodic forecast updates.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform budget variance analysis and financial performance reviews.
  • Track cash flows, working capital, and liquidity for reporting purposes.
Accounting Operations, Systems & Process Improvement
  • Own and continuously improve accounting processes and workflows.
  • Support or lead ERP implementations and optimizations (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
  • Establish standardized close calendars, SOPs, and reconciliation schedules.
  • Drive automation, efficiency, and consistency across accounting operations.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the accounting team supporting the client.
  • Review, approve, and delegate accounting work to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Act as the primary liaison between client leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Present financial results, audit updates, and accounting insights to leadership.
  • Represent the accounting function in meetings and operational reviews.
Required Qualifications
  • CPA (US) preferred or CA / ACCA qualification.
  • 5–8 years of experience in public accounting, advisory, or client accounting services.
  • Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP financial reporting and close management.
  • Experience acting as the primary accounting lead for a complex organization or client.
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience managing teams and delivering accurate, timely accounting results.
