As an Senior Lead Data Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Home Lending division, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team dedicated to transforming the way we manage and utilize data. Our team is focused on developing innovative data architecture solutions that enhance our software applications and platform products. We are committed to leveraging modern data standards, best practices, and automation to maximize data use and transparency, minimize costs and efforts, and ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls as we migrate to the cloud.

Job Responsibilities
  • Represent a product family in technical governance bodies and provide feedback to improve architecture governance practices.
  • Guide the evaluation of current technology and lead the assessment of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks.
  • Regularly provide technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.
  • Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
  • Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
  • Actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  1. Formal training or certification on Data Architect concepts and 5+ years applied experience in data domain
  2. Formal training or certification on Data Architect concepts and 10+ years applied experience in data domain.
  3. Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  4. Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, applications, and architecture.
  5. Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
  6. Familiarity with data engineering tools, including spark,flink, streaming services, ETL/ELT tools, and analytical tools.
  7. Experience with AI/ML models especially Generative AI and agentic AI frameworks.
  8. Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
  9. Practical cloud-native experience.
  10. Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture.
  11. Proven experience as an information architect or in similar capacity and data architecture tools, eg ERWIN, HACKOLADE
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Prior experience with Chase systems and data structures.
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership presence.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence is preferred and considered an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with data consumption and publishing industry patterns.
  • Proficiency in using data architecture toolsets such as data modeling tools, ETL tools, and cloud platforms
