Job summary

WALEE is seeking an experienced iOS developer to own advanced mobile features for streaming apps. You will design clean architectures, mentor peers, and implement media playback, networking, and modular code using MVVM/MVVM-C.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Swift, SwiftUI/UIKit, AVFoundation, and REST integration, with a track record in live-streaming or video apps and strong collaboration skills. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role.

Job description

Core Requirements (Must-Have)

• Experience & Foundation: At least 5 years of experience with strong proficiency in modern Swift (including async/await and actors), SwiftUI, and UIKit.
• Architecture & Design: Deep understanding of clean architecture principles, MVVM/MVVM-C, dependency injection, and modular codebases. Strict adherence to Git workflows and code reviews is expected.
• Media & Streaming: Extensive experience with media frameworks, including AVFoundation/AVPlayer, HLS playback (buffering, Picture-in-Picture), camera capture pipelines, and ReplayKit for screen broadcasting.
• Networking: Strong skills in REST API integration using Alamofire or URLSession, along with Codable, DTO mapping, and Swift Package Manager.

Preferred Qualifications (Good-to-Have)

• Advanced Streaming: Experience with live-streaming SDKs (like Amazon IVS), RTMP, real-time communication (MQTT/WebSockets), and video encoding/decoding fundamentals.
• UI & Tooling: Familiarity with SnapKit (or advanced Auto Layout), Firebase, Lottie, SDWebImage, and Giphy SDK.
• Testing & Domain Experience: Experience with automation testing (XCTest, Maestro) and a background in building social, video, or live-streaming applications.
• Leadership: Ability to mentor other developers and write technical documentation (ADRs).
